Practical information and insider tips
All the essential information to support your day-to-day life as a student
Facilities for our students
This spacious, modern campus offers an ideal working environment, designed to meet students' academic needs. Conceived as a genuine place to live and create, the campus offers conference rooms, collaborative spaces that encourage exchange and innovation, and indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. Every space has been designed to support the academic standards AMOS sets.
Sport in the city
In Montpellier, women's sport counts just as much as men's, and professional sport feeds into the amateur game, as does outdoor recreational sport. The proof: the city has hosted world competitions such as the Women's Football World Cup in 2019 and the Rugby World Cup in 2023.
Committed to sport for all, the city keeps widening its range of activities with the Vegapolis ice rink and the La Valette canoeing and kayaking centre, not to mention water sports along the seafront. Finally, the FISE (Festival International des Sports Extrêmes) adds a touch of urban sport: Montpellier is France's hub for these disciplines and also hosts a round of the world tour.
Major sporting events: Fise (Festival International des Sports Extrêmes), Matches of MHSC-VB (volleyball), MHB (handball), Montpellier Tennis de Table, MHR (rugby), MRC (women's rugby), MHSC (football), BLMA (women's basketball), SHARKS Montpellier Handi Rugby
Transport
The campus is an 8-minute walk from the Ecopôle stop on tram line 3, giving quick access to Montpellier city centre and the main student districts. Public transport has been free across the whole metropolitan area since December 2023. Set in a fast-developing district close to innovative companies, shops and services, the campus benefits from a dynamic business ecosystem. This strategic location encourages professional contacts, internships and partnerships with local players.
Student life
The city has a young, lively atmosphere, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, libraries and meeting places suited to student life. Students are especially fond of Montpellier's historic centre and its bustling squares. Concerts, festivals such as Fise (the international extreme sports festival), exhibitions and sporting activities punctuate daily life and let you make the most of the city (Végapolis ice rink, beaches, the historic centre and Place de la Comédie). Between studies, leisure and cultural life, there is no chance of being bored at the weekend in Montpellier!
