Practical information and insider tips
Everything you need to know to make student life easier
Sport
In their free time, students enjoy a lively sporting scene: runners flock to the Parc des Gayeulles and the banks of the Vilaine. Fans of elite sport can soak up the atmosphere at professional fixtures (SRFC, CRMHB, REC, URB) or head to major events such as the Marathon Vert, the Route du Rhum and the Open Blot Rennes.
Major sporting events: the Dinard Triathlon and the European Cup 10,000m, not to mention football matches at the famous Stade Rennais and the Route du Rhum.
Facilities for our students
The AMOS Rennes campus offers bright, fully equipped classrooms, modern and inspiring work spaces, a resource and reprographics area, a manual and digital model-making workshop, a film studio, an outdoor terrace and three break-out areas. Students can borrow video equipment there (cameras, microphones, stabilisers) for their projects.
The Student Union negotiates discounts with a number of its partners and regularly organises social and sporting events. As for accommodation, the school is close to the La Courrouze district and to several social housing residences, which makes it possible to find rentals at affordable rates.
Student life
Rennes, a city where studying is a pleasure. Rennes has established itself as one of the most appealing cities in France, as much for its quality of life as for its cultural buzz. Students enjoy a cultural calendar punctuated by landmark festivals such as the Trans Musicales, Mythos and Les Tombées de la Nuit. They also benefit from major venues such as Les Champs Libres, the Musée des Beaux-Arts and the Théâtre National de Bretagne, not forgetting the stages devoted to contemporary music (L'Antipode, L'Ubu).
No.1 city in France for quality of life: a pleasant, green environment on a human scale.
3rd largest student city in France: a young, dynamic and creative community.
No.1 city for attractiveness: a lively city centre, rich in meeting places, cafés, coworking spaces and cultural initiatives.
Transport
Just a stone's throw from Mabilais metro station (line B), several bus stops and self-service bike stations, the campus is ideally accessible. Immediately next to the city centre and the Mail François Mitterrand, the district is also home to landmark venues such as Le Mabilay, headquarters of French Tech Rennes–Saint-Malo, and the Ateliers du Vent, a multidisciplinary creative space that regularly hosts exhibitions, performances and cultural events.
